cherry shisha

Amée Zoutberg

Quietly the door clicked shut

Under smoke and ash I left

Slipped away like a thief in morning

And upstairs in a cramped room

Your naked body steadily slept

How many crusty kitchen floors I’ve met

Adventure waiting around the cornerstones, leading to

Softly slipping into each other’s arms

Hoping that we won’t fall in love, followed by

Existential breeding, before

Making my way back into the world, alone.
