🖋:

Twisted Frames is University of Antwerp’s own film club, founded by film students Nelle and Charlie. When they noticed that there was no longer a culture club dedicated solely to film, they decided to form their own.

You can visit the club each first Wednesday of the month at cinema and arthouse Klappei in Borgerhout, and each third Wednesday on the Stadscampus. The film always starts at 7.15 p.m. and the program is very diverse: from big blockbusters to foreign arthouse gems.

After the screening, there’s a friendly discussion for those who are interested. There, people reflect on the themes, characters and the overall impact of the film. Everyone can join the conversation, share ideas or just listen to the opinions of others. These discussions are later combined in a Letterboxd review, which you can find on their profile @twistedframes.

The best thing about Twisted Frames? The screenings are free, you don’t have to sign up and everyone is welcome, whether you’re a hardcore film nerd or you just want to enjoy a cozy, fun evening. It’s a nice place to discover new films, meet people and marvel about what you saw, together. Take your friends and discover your new favourite film!
